Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Samsung revealed the third generation of its big-screen Note smartphone line, the Galaxy Note 3, at events in New York City’s Times Square and Berlin on Wednesday, Sept. 04, 2013. The Galaxy Note 3 has been confirmed for US carriers AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, and T-Mobile, and will hit shops on 25 September in more than 140 countries. It’ll emerge for the rest of the world come October.
At 5.7 inches, the Note 3’s AMOLED display is bigger than previous generations, but its width isn’t any larger than the Samsung Galaxy Note II. It weighs 5.9 ounces, and has a soft, faux-leather exterior with “premium look and feel”. The Note 3’s signature feature, the S Pen stylus, gets an upgrade as well. When the user hovers the S Pen over the screen, a circle appears: Tapping on the screen and clicking the pen’s button will reveal a semi-circular menu Samsung calls Air Command.
